The scenic and historic township of Bedminster lies just off several main transportation arteries through north central Jersey. Just off 287 and north off 78 are hilly green landscapes of farms, stables, private estates, equestrian properties along with small village centers and shops. Close by is the biotech corridor offering pharmaceutical, telecommunications and lab research firms. It is also very accessible for local commuters to New York City. The four village areas of Bedminster comprise 25 square miles and include: Pluckemin, Bedminster, Lamington and Pottersville with a total population just over 8,000. In addition, a major center of population is “The Hills” home and townhomes development that adjoins Pluckemin on Rte 206 with a convenient shopping and retail center of its own. Bedminster has its own elementary and middle school. Upper classmen use Bernards High School in Bernardsville. With a wonderful mix of excellent schools, history, amenities and low taxes, Bedminster remains an appealing community with beautiful natural landscape.
